Every entry is Claude's synthesis of publicly available guidance — NICE guidelines, GIRFT recommendations, and national specialty society guidance — checked and cited at the point of writing. Guidance changes, local protocols vary between trusts, and this content is not held under continuous clinical governance review. Always confirm anything you read here against your own trust's current local guidance, and discuss with a senior colleague before it changes how you manage a patient.
Nothing in these apps constitutes the taking of consent. UK guidance (GMC, Decision-making and consent, 2020) is clear that consent should be obtained by the person performing a procedure, or someone suitably trained and delegated to do so. The Consent tab exists to help you understand and discuss a procedure with more confidence — it is not to be read to a patient in place of a proper, individualised consent conversation.
